Phnom Penh located on the banks of the Tonlé Sap and Mekong River, Phnom Penh has been the national capital since French colonization of Cambodia, and has grown to become the nation’s center of economic and industrial activities, as well as the center of security, politics, cultural heritage, and diplomacy of Cambodia. Once known as the “Pearl of Asia,” it was considered one of the loveliest French-built cities in Indochina in the 1920s. There are numbers of surviving French colonial buildings scattered along the grand boulevards. The city is the wealthiest and most populous city in Cambodia and is the country’s political hub.
Day 1: Phnompenh Arrival
Arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour to the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda containing the Emerald Buddha statue, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siemreap – Rolous Temples (B,D).
In the morning, take boat cruise (No Guide) upstream Mekong River to Siemreap (5hrs cruising). In the afternoon, visit the Roluos temples dating from the 9th and 10 century. Return to hotel in early evening. Enjoy dinner at restaurant with Apsara Performance. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Angkor Thom – Angkor Wat (B, L)
Explore Angkor Thom which includes the Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terraces and the Leper King Terrace. In the afternoon visit magnificent Angkor Wat and end the day with a spectacular sunset at the mountain temple of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 4: Siemreap - Departure (B)
The morning is free. Transfer to airport for departure flight. End of services.
