Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Dong Hoi – Phong Nha ( L )
Take the morning flight to Dong Hoi.Upon arrival, pick up by local guide around 11:10 ( VN1591). We have a lunch at local restaurant then getting on boat and cruise along the river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical are the natural aspects of the caves. After on boat for 700m, a large dry passage is appear, then you can walk to discover the cave for 500m more. You will have a chance to explore the remain of Cham Altars and Inscriptions inside.Overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 2: Paradise cave – Hue (B/ L)
After breakfast in hotel, Our guide pick you up at 08:00 to visit paradise cave. The Paradise cave discovered by scientists of the British Caving Research Association in 2005, has the length of 31km, the longest dry cave in Asia. With naturally primitive features Paradise Cave looks like a landscape painting, making it very attractive to visitors. There are a series of white crystal stalactites resembling glass pillars and many other spectacular formations. Enjoy lunch then get ahead to Hue on Ho Chi Minh Trail.Overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue city tour (B/L)
Pick up from hotel in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen sDynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life.
Day 4: Hue – Hoian (B)
We will stop along the way to visit the Lang co beach which lies on the most beautiful curve of the “S” where you can be the first to see sunrise in Vietnam. Lang Co beach attracts visitors by its wild beauty with white sand and blue sea. After passing Lang Co beach, we drive 20km on Sea cloud pass (Hai Van Pass) – the highest pass in the country and one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam. Sea cloud pass is the last spur of the Truong Son Range that reaches to the sea, sightseeing in Vietnam is at its best here with the sequel of valleys and lagoons as the road descends lower. The next stop is Cham museum where displayed the exhibitions of Cham people. The Cham museum in Danang has incomparably the best collection anywhere of Cham materials, mostly sculptures. We then have a chance to see Danang beach – one of the most beautiful and famous beach in Vietnam. And our next destination is Marble Mountain where you can see some marble factories and see their art works. (Entrance fees not included).
Overnight in Hoian
Day 5 Hoian Old town – My Son Holy land (B/L)
Hoi An is a small town in Central Vietnam famous for its wooden houses,family chapels, Assembly Halls and for its silk shops. In the morning, take a private car from Hoi An Town to My Son Holy Land, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered to be in the same league as some of Southeast Asia’s greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries was built from the 7 to 13 centuries.Back to Hoi An for lunch. After the relax, it is light excursion to go around tiny town of Hoi An for city tour: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants’ house. Tour end at about 16.30 pm
Day 6: Hoian – Danang – Flight back to Hanoi/HCM (B)
Free time till transfer to Danang airport for your departure flight

The absolute highlight of the tour was having Cong as your driver through the entire trip.
He is highly flexibly and great company. He can show you some very local places that you would not find on your own.
Another highlight of the trip for us, we see Hai Van Cloudy Pass – the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen. A wonderful way of experiencing the country. This part is highly recommendable.
This is an awesome and honest tour company. Phuc was an amazing guide and An our driver was safe and punctual. It was my daughters 21st birthday and the company arranged a beautiful cake for her. Our guide Tri spoke excellent English and was really interesting. He told us about Vietnam and was a real pleasure.
At each stop over he gave us time to be on our own so we could explore each site for as long as we wanted. This meant we never felt under pressure and gave us time to enjoy our holiday.
The best stop points are Paradise Cave and the Marble Mountain. These are must do visits, we really enjoyed them.
Tri also took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch and gave us excellent tips on restaurants in Hoi An.

I am glad to share my experiences with A Travel Mate. The tour was a Paradise Discovery. As mentioned in the description of the tours they are really dedicated people with full of passion and energy. A great team accompanying us in the discovery was so great. Within 6 days we covered quite a great distance but with relaxation and fun. Places like Phong Nha, Da Nang, Hue, Ba Na Hills, My son, … oh… great. The guide knew well where to go, how to go and what will make the touring party enjoy the travel. Vinh made our time in Vietnam the best family trip we’ve been on. He was extremely knowledgeable, very engaging and had a great sense of humour. We were lucky to be with him for6 days and visited Phong Na national park and the amazing cave systems, Hue city and Danang. We all missed him so much we met up with him in our free time in Hoi an and went out for a lovely meal. We can’t recommend him highly enough and we will make a trip back to this magical place and will definitely use Vinh again.
We went to the Paradise Cave, which was one of my top things I did while travelling Vietnam. Son was one of the coolest tour guides I’ve met, so friendly and knowledgable, and his English is really good, too – not to mention he’s funny. Driving through the Hai Van pass from Hue to Da Nang was such a great experience, and would’ve been a lot less interesting if I had been alone…
