Tonle Bati & Ta Prohm Temples Half Day

Ta Prohm Temple and Tonle Bati, down National Route 2, only 30 kilmetres from Phnom Penh, this area provides the chance to visit a beautiful temple.
Ta Prohm, built by Jayavaraman VII (1181-1201) on the site of a 6th century Khmer shrine. Consecrated to the Buddha and the Brahma, the temple is noted for its refined bas reliefs. Nearby is a smaller temple, Yeay Peau, which also has remarkable stone carvings. Near Ta Prohm is a small lake, Tonle Bati.
Depart from Phnom Penh to Tonle Bati (35km). Visit the literate temple of Ta Prohm. The main sanctuary consists of five chambers with in each is a lingam. Then, visit Yeay Peau temple, named after King Ta Prohm’s mother, located 150m north of Ta Prohm and visit a silk weaving village before proceeding to Prasat Neang Khmao. Visit Prasat Neang Khmao, the temple of the Black Virgin (10th century). Return to Phnom Penh.
