In the final months of the year, as we followed the continuous updates from Nghe An Newspaper and Television Station on the severe flooding across Nghe An Province—especially the heavy damage left by Storm No. 10—we, the team at Atravelmate, could not help but feel deeply concerned.
As a company working in the tourism industry, we understand that behind every destination are people, lives, and very simple yet precious dreams. Moved by the timely information and meaningful connection support provided by journalists from Nghe An Radio and Television, we launched a charity campaign and reached out to our partners and benefactors to join hands in supporting the affected communities.
In a short time, solidarity spread strongly throughout our organization. From our head office in Hanoi to our branches in Hue and Ho Chi Minh City, employees and partners across the A Travel Mate – Oriental sails– Vdream Cruise – Deluxe Group Tours ecosystem came together with one shared goal: supporting the people of Nghe An.
Our journey brought us to Tan An Commune, one of the localities most severely impacted by the floods. Here, we directly delivered both essential supplies and cash assistance, with a total value of VND 80 million, hoping to contribute in a small way to helping local residents overcome the aftermath of the disaster.
One of the most emotional moments of our trip was our visit to Huong Son Kindergarten (Tan Thanh Hong cluster). Witnessing the extensive damage to the school’s facilities after the floods, we truly felt the difficulties faced by teachers and young children alike. Our company provided the school with teaching and daily-use equipment, including televisions, refrigerators, water purifiers, fans, blankets, pillows, toys, learning materials, along with cash support, totaling over VND 30 million. We hope these gifts will help restore better learning conditions and allow the children to return to school as soon as possible.
In addition, we presented 33 gift packages to families in particularly difficult circumstances who were heavily affected by the storm. Each package included VND 1 million in cash along with essential goods worth VND 500,000. The firm handshakes, emotional eyes, and sincere words of gratitude from local residents became the most meaningful rewards for us throughout this journey.
For us, this was not merely a charity activity, but a social responsibility and a way to spread humanitarian values through every journey we take. We firmly believe that when a business chooses to share and stand alongside the community, every step of its growth becomes more sustainable and meaningful.
Our trip to Tan An has come to an end, but the spirit of being a true “travel companion” continues. We will keep listening, connecting, and taking action—so that no one is left behind when natural disasters strike.
