Day 1: Yangon Arrival & Sightseeing (B)
Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Afternoon tour of Yangon includes Karaweik Hall a Royal barge on the Royal Lake for photo stop, Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha. Drive in downtown visit China Town with the fruit market and Yangon’s city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Witness the golden dom
Day 2: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (B)
Early morning, after breakfast at hotel, drive to one of Myanmar’s landmarks, Kyaikthiyowhich is famous for its precarious position and religious importance. Kyaikthiyo the “Golden Rock”, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. Arrive at the base camp of Kinpun and proceed to the Golden Rock by open truck about an hour mountain drive. Take a light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest. Enjoy sunset beauty on hill top and overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 3: Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon (B)
After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Yangon via Bago. Visit toKyaikponfour seated Buddha Images. Kyakhatwine Monastery, where a thousand of monks who take their last meal of the day at 10 am in total silence, KanbawzaThardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung, KalayaniSima(Ordination Hall), Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung Pagoda, the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha, Wood Carving Industry and Bagolocal Market. Visit enrouteWorld War II Allied War Grave Cemetery near Taukkyant. Drive back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 4: Yangon –Thanlyin-Departure (B)
After breakfast at hotel, half day trip to Thanlyin across Yangon River on Thanlyin Bridge. Thanlyin is home to two splendid pagodas; the Kyaikkauk Pagoda and Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda, situated on Island. Meet local people at the Kyauktan Market and then to Kyaikmawwin (Yele) Pagoda by boat. Then return to Yangon. Proceed to BogyokeAung San (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport for departure from Yangon.

I took 4 days tour with A Travel Mate visiting Yangon and around. I would highly recommend Ms. Angelina & her team for the high quality of service provided. Our tour guide wá good and not even a moment at any place we had to wait for driver or guide. Everything was very well organized. Our guide took personal care when our flights were delayed and made sure that taxi drivers were informed so that they kept on waiting for us till us arrived. I would definitely approach A Travel Mate if I ever return for long trip to Myanmar again.
My husband and I took a tour of Yangon with Soe in Dec. She was an excellent guide with lots of local knowledge and i learned so much off her about Myanamar and Buddhism. We got on really well and i enjoyed her youthfull views on life in Myanmar. I would highly recommend Soe if you are looking for a guide in Yangon.
We booked a guided tour through Myanmar with Angelina ms and it was by far the best choice we made on the whole trip. She was organising stuff and Mr.Tin was our guide. There is really nothing to complain about, cheapest price and both super friendly. Road taxes were included. Mr.Tin accompanied us and took care of all the police bureaucracy and paperwork for bringing your own car. We had nothing to worry and always felt in good hands. Stop your research, these guys are the best!
